Beneteau 40.1 monohull anchored in clear blue water

Beneteau Oceanis 40.1

Oceanis 40.1 – Excitement under sail

The Beneteau Oceanis 40.1 follows in the design tradition of its larger sister, the 51.1, with a newly-designed hull and unrivaled space both on deck and below. Designed by renowned naval architect Marc Lombard, with interior and deck design by Nauta Design, the 40.1 will impress even the most discriminating sailor with its superior performance and comfort under sail.

This seventh generation 42-foot cruiser offers enhanced balance, and the new flared hull design supports speed and stiffness under sail – maintaining an optimal deck plan and supremely spacious interior with the feel of a yacht much larger than its length.

An array of options for your sailing style

The Oceanis 40.1 sailboat is decidedly fast, fun, and easy to sail with its twin helm stations with lift-up seats, and twin rudders that offer stability and gentle precision steering.

Available in a variety of different layouts, drafts and rigging, the 40.1 has an option for every cruising and liveaboard lifestyle. The standard in-mast furling system and self-tacking jib make short-handed maneuvers a breeze, while the First Line version provides a taller mast and several other performance upgrades to make the most of the hull’s potential. A choice of 3 keels will adapt to your sailing grounds.

Uncommon space & flow

The ergonomic C-shaped cockpit offers uncommon spaciousness, flow and functionality with plenty of space for a crew of 8 to enjoy the cushioned bench seating and large drop-leaf dinette table with optional refrigerator. Clear side decks allow easy movement from the bow all the way to the transom.

Swimming, sunbathing and leisure time awaits on the huge fold-down slatted teak bathing platform – similar in size to larger Oceanis models – with telescoping ladder and hydraulic electric opening option.

Beneteau Oceanis 40.1 interior

The interior spaces are airy, bright and open with a choice of walnut or light oak finishes, ample usable storage, and a surprisingly voluminous feel more associated with larger yachts.

The U-shaped galley to starboard offers plenty of storage and countertop work space, while the large L-shaped dining area offers seating for 8. Easy movement and efficiency is enhanced by a movable bench and dropdown table.

Oceanis 40.1 specs provide a choice of layouts including 2-, 3-, or 4-cabin configurations, each with 1 or 2 baths.
