Lagoon 40

Lagoon 40 – Sleek & innovative family cruiser

The catamaran Lagoon 40 was designed by leading naval architects Marc Van Peteghem and VPLP Design, the most highly-awarded design firm in multihull racing boats. Their designs focus on onboard family life and extended cruising in ultimate comfort and safety. The smallest of the Lagoon sailing catamaran range, the 40-foot vessel is a perfect blend of interior comfort and optimized cruising.

Lagoon catamarans are known for their longevity and reliability, as well as the pure sailing pleasure they deliver, and the Lagoon 40 is no exception.

Optimized for easy handling

Performance aboard the Lagoon 40 is optimized for ease of sailing, with all sail control lines leading to an ergonomic raised helm designed to comfortably accommodate 2 people. The self-tacking jib and shorter boom allow for easy handling, even when short-handed. Remarkable stability and spacious living areas are achieved in part by the wide 22’-2” beam.

The Lagoon 40’s aesthetically striking hull design adds an air of modern sophistication and also serves to further enhance performance and stability. A shallow draft makes it ideal for exploring shallow waters and anchoring in secluded bays.

Comfortable open-air living

Family time aboard the Lagoon 40 is second-to-none, with well-planned outdoor spaces for socializing, relaxation and fun. The widened aft cockpit and broad transoms offer ample seating and dining space, as well as easy access to the tender davit system and swim steps.

The raised helm station provides excellent 360 degree visibility and is easily accessed from the integrated steps in the aft cockpit, as well from the starboard deck.

The foredeck of the Lagoon 40 features the traditional Lagoon trampolines, as well as a comfortable cushioned lounge area.

Lagoon 40 interior

Interior comfort and style reign, with ample natural lighting, a smooth flow between the same-level cockpit and saloon, and Nauta Design’s use of sophisticated materials. The salon features the Lagoon signature vertical wraparound windows with integrated portholes, dinette with cushioned seating and an efficient galley with plenty of storage.

Lagoon 40 specs include a choice of three different cabin configurations to suit your cruising style: a 3-cabin/2-bath plan featuring a large owner’s suite to port, a 4-cabin/2-bath plan, or the 4-cabin/4-bath version that widely appeals to charter guests.
